The Opportunity

PAF is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our Finance team here in Hampton, VA. Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Assistant will be responsible for bank account reconciliations, payroll journal entries, month-end accruals and reconciling A/R ledgers. This role will also serve as the back-up to the A/P functions.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business or relevant degree, preferred
  • 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience
  • Understanding of G/L transaction and related effects of JE’s within the accounting system
  • Hands-on experience within an accounting software packaging
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Offers contingent upon favorable background and credit checks

Patient Account Representatives

PAF is currently seeking Patient Account Representatives to join our Co-Pay Relief team here in Hampton, VA. The Co-Pay Relief team members assist patients nationwide telephonically that are suffering a life threatening or debilitating disease. This team is responsible for approving, verifying and processing patient’s claims associated with a financial award towards their medications. A Patient Account Representative answers the incoming calls, collects patient information, and approves applications for the program within a call center environment.

The successful candidate will have:

  • The ability to work full-time hours from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday
  • Ability to talk and type at the same time
  • Previous work experience in a healthcare environment, or medical office required
  • Excellent communication and customer services experience
  • 2 year of professional work experience
  • Hands-on experience working within a customer management database, a plus
  • Offers contingent upon favorable background and credit checks
